Partindo dessa frase, que está na pg 38, e usando a fórmula de Eficiência Relativa Rotativa, que é igual ao torque em open water dividido pelo torque atrás do casco, podemos deduzir que para um mesmo “Thrust” e RPM, o torque PODE ser maior em open water condition nos navios single screw :

The value of the relative rotative efficiency does not
in general depart materially from unity, being in the
region of from 0.95 to 1.0 for most twin-screw ships
and between 1.0 and 1.1 for single-screw.
